Was scared after looking at the radar this morning, drove up not expecting much. Ridge was a scraped down disaster with 15 minute+ waits. After a couple runs on the ridge and seeing a few screaming matches amongest the Joey's, we decided to try to make the best of it and do some exploring. Hiked up to Snowdon and found boot deep untouched snow (no noises under the skis). Ended up making 3-4 runs going from K1, over to the ridge, down Powerline/Ridge, then up Snowdon, then ski Snowdon back down to K1. Chute, Mousetrap, Bunny Buster, and the Poma line all had boot deep snow on the edges of the trails and it was fantastic.
Despite the reports little to no blowing was happening except the big gun at the bottom of Mousetrap and the lower part of GN. Patrol said it would be open Wednesday but they have a lot of work to do to get that ready as there was only wind blown on the sides. Middles were grass.
Ended up having some amazing runs on lower Eastfall and Royal Flush as there were 2-3' drifts. All the snow from Cascade, Dipper, etc seemed to blow over onto those two runs. Even after flush was tracked out it was a great time.
