Hey All,
I'm back from Gaper day 2009 at Blue mountain the true mountain. When I woke up early this morning, I wasn't feeling great but I was stoked to get to ski with alot of PASRs so I dragged my half sick ass out of bed..filled my cooler with beer and hit the road. I pulled into Blue mountain at 7:36AM and Atomic Jeff, Sexkitten and BobLikesCats were already there. M-Bike Mike was also in the parking lot and skier112 and Johnny Style showed up early as well. I began the day with some beer in the parking lot. I was lame and just wore normal ski clothes. I couldn't find anything good at the Salvation Army. Johnny Style was mad retro with 203 Slalom skis older than A-Jeff and the clothes to match 1986..his pants were so tight, if he had three balls, everybody would know. ThinkSnow Greg was also in the house and he brought along his radar gun.
We first skied Razors which was really fast..I had my poles in one hand and a can of beer in the other. Switchback and Lazy Mile were also very nice. TP$ and Mark met up with us around 830AM and we did a radar gun run on Razors and Atomic Jeff hit 74mph in a bullet tuck..I hit 64mph because I stood up a little but still fast. A little before 9AM Melissa joined our crew and we skied Switchback back to the parking lot for beers shots and donuts..thanks Melissa. Then back on the snow for Burma, Razors, Paradise and Dreamweaver. No SP3 on Paradise. The snow held up well throughout the morning..then at some point we were back in the parking lot drinking more beer..Bob and Sexkitten got two pizzas at some point..thanks guys!!!..and we blasted techno music in the parking lot. More shots and beers were consumed and then more runs were skied..by this point there was sa weet buttery corn but still nice fast snow.
I definitely didn't have a care in the world the last few runs..and at around 2:15PM after just 19 runs I headed out back to the mean streets of the Lehigh Valley...with an empty cooler..thanks to all who came out today..it was alot of fun skiing with a bunch of PASRs on one of the nicest days of the year. It's sad that Blue closes tomorrow but it's been a nice season..time for a nap!!!
