LMOA...that's got to be one of the stupidest things I have ever seen but at the same time has a certain je ne sais quo humor side to it. Maybe it's today's version of air guitar? Does it take alot of practice to do that homey ghetto rap thing with their hands. I bet right after they went to Ben & Jerry's and got down with some Cherry Garcia on a sugar cone with chocolate sprinkles. Thanks for the link Riv

Blatant Lazy Sunday Rip-off.
This is hip hop culture and this is the way hip hop culture has always been. Sample a record and do something a little differently. Electronic music in general has always relied on "stealing" works by other artists (is Afrika Bambaataa any less genius and influential for ripping off Kraftwerk?) but it is particularly noticeable in the hip hop culture. As a DJ, some of my favorite mixes involve playing back to back the "original" and then a sampled version of the same song (for example, Missy Elliot's Loose Control which was a direct lift from Cybotron's Clear. Is the former any less interesting for having ripped off the later? Perhaps it is even more interesting as what was old is new again.).

The arm thing is whacked though. That is poser written all over it (and I hate that term, but this is seriously imitation done at the most worst level). Definitely not gansta though, even if they may try to look the part though given they stepped out of a Scion Xb (the gangsta car of the future, mark my words), I suspect the visuals may have been done over the top intentionally as a parody. At least, I hope that was their intent or they failed miserably!

"We like ouor Cabot Cheddar extra sharp
Our roofs got leaks so we patch 'em with a tarp."

Classic. I like it.

That is the best line. Too funny!

I also like:

"Our state capital might be 200 years old.
but our dome is so blinging that it's glittered with gold!"

Total parody. Funny thing is, isn't the "802" hand gesture rally 8004? ;)

Damn...I thought I had responded over the weekend. Guess I forgot to click submit.

My comment before was sarcastic, I forgot the wink emoticon. Anyway Lazy Sunday is a parody.

There is so much more of it out there, all equally stupid. I think they are the original faux-gangstas, though. They've been around at lest 7-8 years.
