Well, the kids came home last night. All four pairs  I retrieved our skis last night....my three pairs and Ms. Trailboss' pair. It really cheered me up! Good to see them and get them back down here. Now when things are going tough, I can slide open the closet doors and see them smiling back at me. Now I have to get the summer wax off.....probably a job for tomorrow.

I have not seen my ski's since Mammoth. I want to get them tuned up and I might try to do that next week before the trip to Killington.

What is summer wax? I never heard of this before.

I have two old pair of ski's in my garage that I have to get rid of, either to the trash or to the local ski shop before we finish moving.

Summer wax = the coat of wax that one puts on their skis before storing them for the summer. You don't scrape it off. You leave it on.

If you use a wax with a wide temperature range, you can put a heavy coat on at the beginning of the summer and then scrape it down right before your first trip. Actually, this is what I do with any skis I don't use as often.

Mine too! Ms. Shwilly made a trade-off yesterday, dropping off our big cooler and summer sleeping bag in the parents' basement and bringing home the babies.

It's almost that time!! I'm afraid I will get DTs if somewhere doesn't open next weekend. I wonder if it's possible to hotwire a lift...?
