Thats too bad... Hopefully you'll be back on skis by Easter! Don't rush it though.

I kind of asked that. Doc said if I go out it will be a tear and the knife would have to come out. If the knee gets stable then there is no tear. He said after a week if all seems fine no MRI,if not stable then a tear exist and further care needed. He was fairly sure I would heal on my own. So know you don't have an answer to that question either.

Thankx uphillclimber. After the twisting and turning and stretching of my knee by the doc yesterday.... I'm sore and my knee feels less stable so maybe I should take it easy and the visit was a good idea. Just seems you go to the doctor you should be better.

Anyone have an idea what kind of brace I should get and where. Looked at epicski.com not sure what is best. Not interested in asking my doctor he tells me things I don't want to hear. I can get skier movement in the brace I have, but it is a wrap type that goes ankle to thigh.

Don Joy has a variety...but braces are designed for different purposes, and using the wrong one can do as much damage as good. If you don't trust your doctor, I'd e-mail Don Joy and ask (or can your doctor and get one you trust).

My brace did the trick. I skiied pretty much on one leg. Hardest thing to do was step into my binding had to push the knee down with my hands in the binding. Sat I was very caustious took 6 runs had to learn how to ski all over again. Sunday 6 runs also. I had more control on Sunday. No pain while skiing just never really rolled my right knee into the hill. A little unstable , but much better than I had hoped, no swelling. I'm back in the game.
