There is so much snow at my house. I can not even get out to skin because the hill does not have enough pitch to ski it with this much snow.

That is awesome! Downeast ME is buried right now, as they have been in the bulls eye of the recent storms. I do plenty of trips to Acadia in the summer/fall, and I've always wanted to get up there in the winter...Primarily to do XC skiing & some light BC skiing on the Carriage Roads as well as some of the Mtn Tops as many of them have little to no trees....Very unique terrain & awesome scenery.

Thanks for posting.

I was in Bar Harbor yesterday for work and looking up at those peaks and wishing I had my skins (or the parks service put a lift in).

Does anyone recognize where they are skiing? Initially, it looks like the Penobscot Ridge, but once they get down lower, I can't think of hiking trails that open up that wide for Alpine/Snowboard/Telemarking activity.

I skied there twice in college and I am not really sure. Looks like the south side to me but I could be wrong. Not many landmarks to go by.

Is it me, or did those guys spend a lot of time skiing in and through each other's tracks especially after climbing for those turns?

my guess is they had a very small open space to work with, that's why they were always on each other tracks

still looks like fun though

It's hard to say....The initial shots look like Hadlock Pond with Norumbega Mtn. in the background, but it's hard to pinpoint the vantage point & Mtn they are actual skiing. My guess is they could be on any one of the following Penobscot, Sargent, Gilmore, or Cedar Swamp.
