Advice for Skiing on Monday (Pres. Day)

Question: Monday I will be skiing single, up early and with time to travel. I'm thinking of MRG or Burke. These days are rare and want to ski new challenging terrain (both areas meet this criteria) and get lots of vertical feet (MRG may be lacking here due to lift) and hate lines (I know its a holiday) - I have not done a lot of tree skiing either. Ideas, alternatives, opinions, advice 2 cents worth, etc. thanks to all

whiteface- a crowd there is nothing compared to other places. Can get tons of vert. Totally steep lines and the woods will be crazy open.

Word. MRG gonna be mayhem, I know a ton of ppl already planning on heading up there.

I would recommend Burke as they just went 100% open today. The glades should be awsome. The lines will also be MUCH shorter than those at MRG on Monday. The single black glades are easier than the doubles. I won't be there Monday, I'll be in the back country. Check out the Burkeapalooza thread here for more info on who might be there:

Whiteface - ahhh, no...it's a day trip from metrowest Boston! But I would like to get there sometime!
Burke crowds manageable?? - kind of a stupid question, I know given it's a holiday and winter vacation weeks, etc.
