Air Force Expresses Interest in Opening Ski Area

Apparently they used to have a ski lodge near the Ogden base (Snowbasin perhaps?) They lost it in 2002. They say that they have a spot near Deer Valley. Not sure where that is.

I know that West Point has a cool ski area for servicemen that was recently profiled.

Have been by the West Point ski area many times, never skied there. Not open last season.

You mean near Hill Air Force Base in Ogden?

Sounds like something similar to the Armed Forces Recreation Center in Garmisch Germany. It's been upgraded a lot since I was there in late 80's, but they provide lodging, ski rentals, lessons, etc. but don't run a ski resort.
