The Financial Woes thread - Border Line Politics,
The Sugarbush Acreage thread - Win, as always, showed us how he's a much bigger man than most ski resort managers.

Fine, I'll make it controversial-

NJ: the worst state in the union, followed closely by NY

Discuss.

I'll throw Kansas in the mix. It's flat. There's basically no water. It's about 1000 miles away from the Ocean or Mountains. It's hotter than hell in the summer. Tornados rip the states trailer parks apart each and every year, and they have to root for the Royals and Chiefs.

I love Jersey, anyone that puts it down must never have ventured too far off the Turnpike. My least favorite stated, in no particular order are:

CT
PA
MI

I'll take traffic, pollution and guidos with quick Ocean and Mountain access over no traffic, pollution and guidos and no quick mountain or ocean access anyday - although I bet that if you looked hard enough in Kansas that you'd atleast find a mid-west version of a guido! ;)

I drove through Kansas once. It is very flat and booring. I'd rather move to Florida and I hate Florida.

Also very flat.... but at least they have beaches...
(but I'm with you, I also hate Florida)

I Agree with Florida, but if you're diss'in Kansas, I'd lump Oklahoma in there too. Flat like Kansas, but nothin but red clay/dirt for soil. At least something grows in Kansas!

CT is all right. Like Jersey, you gotta get out a bit. North of Waterbury and West of Hartford is pretty nice. I suspect the NE corner is pretty nice too along with some of the shoreline. Bridgeport? Not so much.

Nope, the NE corner is a sh*thole, you'd never want to go there ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) Afterall it was so nasty up here that even Marc moved away! ;)

Are you sure it wasn't that Marc had to move away? Weren't the farmers getting angry?

I think it was that the sheep were so nervous, their wool was falling out, and the goats couldn't retain their milk. All over NE Conn, you saw nothing but splotches of wool and milk!

Well, there were those occasional stories in the local papers about strange disappearances of goats.

Most of the time they were attributed to Coyotes.

Whether or not it's a coincidence that those stories have stopped since Marc moved "north of the border" I'm not sure. You be the judge ;) ;)
