Closing Day came all too soon at Burke. It was one more day for great snow:

One last day of enjoying that great view, which made you feel so small.

The Dawn Patrol on Dippers.

One last day to enjoy your favorite trails:

And to ski with friends, old and new:

Time to get that last Poma Ride:

And enjoy some silliness:

And to thank those who made the season so great with their hard work and smiles:

But it had to end. That last Chair had to come:

At the end of the day, each enjoyed the mountain in their own way and reflected on what skiing Burke means before going off in their own direction:

Good night chair, good night air. Good night Burkies everywhere.

Thanks to those who made it so special. See you next season.

Nicely done. It was indeed a beautiful day to close out the "official" season  . I will probably still get some hiking in there yet this spring. I got first tracks in October and I plan on last tracks in late April/early May. There was a lot of snow left on some of the trails.
I can't believe how few people there were at the mountain Sunday with $15 tickets on such a great day.
I didn't carry my camera Sunday since I didn't have a pocket to stick it in

I especially like the mug shot of the guy with the Burke sticker on his helmet

Still good cover! Awesome for the upcoming event. Good earned turn potential with good base and no lifts. Powder for days....
