there's a direct proportion between challenging terrain and uncrowded skiing so the poll is fundamentally flawed. there is of course a threshold of which below a certain level of challenge the proportion doesn't apply (for example black diamonds at say wachsett).

I have to say, I'd preffer boring teraiin with no one on it. At least that way, you can do what you want. Even the most boring slope has some opportunities for enjoyment. A wide variety of boring terrain would be best, I suppose.

Hands down - uncrowded slopes. There's no way to enjoy a day of skiing with 20,000 of your neighbors on your elbow all day (hello - Killington, Mt. Snow). Like someone said above, you can even have fun on a bunny slope if you have it all to yourself........

I said it would be no fun on a bunny slope alone. But I can see why people would say it could be fun. Its just not for me.

Ski early and never an issue. I hit the most challenging and high traffic areas on 1st runs. Hit less crowded areas as day goes on and snow is usually still ok on the road less traveld by. If all else fails hit the bar early. Anyway less crowded was my vote.

I would rather ride a harder trail with people on it then a beginner trail empty..

I get BORED very fast if there's no terrain challenge...

What type of challenging terrain..at Hunter it could be a crowded Clairs..at Alta it could be a few people on an elevator chute off Baldy...I pick challenging as its usually not crowded...

I vote terrain. Way more interesting to me to have good skiing than the other people. That said; I guess there could be a tipping point if lift lines are 45 minutes a pop.

I ski mostly on weekdays so I generally can get both but I would say uncrowded trails are more important. I have fun skiing anything.
