Anyone with LOCAL knowledge know how much snow REALLY fell at Killington last night? They are claiming like 9in top...7 bottom with LOTS more predicted for tomorrow into Friday...would like to get REALISTIC totals not kmarts "drift" totals...

Any help is GREATLY appreciated..

Spoke to someone who rode there yesterday...he said it was all rain until the access road, then changed to snow. There was 2-4" when they started riding and it snowed big flakes all day. Was starting to stick on roads and stuff by about 4pm.

Sounds like those snow totals are not too far off.

I've always found the webcam at Coles pond in Walden Vermont kind of helpful

http://www.robertlyonsphotography.com/webcam/wx.htm

While it's a bit of a distance from K it's at 2230 feet so probably somewhat representative of the snowfall totals at that general elevation in central & northern Vermont

they are showing about 8 new this morning

I have been watching this site on and off since and it is great site to check on the actual weather. Because of the site however the owner has gotten into trouble with the Vermont Fish & Wildlife Dept for feeding the deer with his bird feeders and has been ordered to remove all the bird feeders from his home.

I think this is crazy and sounds like he has a neighbor who is mad at him.

He actually has his own forum with a discussion of this at http://www.colespond.com/forum/index.php?topic=62.0

That guy used to own a big snowmobile site I frequented. He had the camera on the homepage.
