man, i thought i was bad. I think i've purchased about 5 pairs of gloves in resort ski shops because i left them at home. but skis? thats a damn big brainfart.

no rituals really. I used to click poles before i'd enter a line but nobody does that anymore so i stopped.

Actually, Pat's ritual is to never wear goggles. Even on sub-zero degree days.

He just doesn't ski well unless his vision is impaired by excessive tearing...in fact, his best day was when he developed rime ice on his eyelashes.

I'm with DMC, a beer after tucks.

...or after really any large worthwhile adventure.

Sometimes a click of the poles before a crux manuver for good luck.

At least you can rent skis in a pinch...I had one time that my son got into the car and forgot his ski jacket. Only noticed when we got to the ski area...

I'm also obsessive about packing and getting ready the night before, mainly because I'm not a morning person. Everything in the bags, skis and poles in the car (not boots...they stay inside), clothing out and organized, kids' Game Boy consoles recharged, etc...

honestly i hate to wear goggles cause i dont ski with my glasses on. The goggles just further reduce my poor vision. Not to scare you if we ski together again, but i really cant see sh*t anyway. lol.

Luckily I lived near the mountain....so fogetting the skis only set me back a half an hour or so but still, indeed a brain-fart.

There have been numerous trips up the hill, especially this past weekend, when a steady stream of folks were seen walking up through the construction zone at South to get to both Lincoln peak and Castlerock peak.

Now this week is a bit of a bummer, but the early turns have been available to the motivated.
