Also the key in your response is "2+month" isnt winter supposed to be much more than 2 months?

Rarely as deep as it gets where im headed...sorry man, but I spent my life skiing east coast....I know how deep it gets SOMETIMES....I just cant bank on "sometimes" anymore...nor can I bank on 2+ month seasons....

Enjoy the late season gifts you've received, as you know they are few and far between...

Yeah...and that smog...i'll live with it when im looking out my windows at HUGE peaks....

Hey if the job market was better in The White Mtn region thats where id be....just isn't happening..

Hey M, if I haven't said it, GOOD LUCK OUT THERE!!

Thanks man...youve mentioned it before..and I appreciate it...

Right now since im alone (wife and dogs and STUFF still in NJ) its a little daunting...im having those "regrets" that are to be expected. I think once the wife is out with the dogs, i'll feel a whole lot more comfortable. I didn't think i'd miss her that much, and its only been a couple days, but i guess i'll live. Tried thinking of it as a vacation, but when I look at all the clothes and crap i carted across country I know it isnt just a vacation away from the wife..

Thinking Alta tomorrow with Marc from Firsttracksonline. Nothing like you guys got... (truly I am super envious)......but steep and spring corn im sure will be had....

Enjoy the weekend at K...I see you're headed up....that monday off might not be a bad idea......Sunday -Monday could be EPIC if cold air sticks...projections arent calling for it to right now, but what the heck do weathermen know?

For now I'm holding off on Monday, scared there may be too much snow and wind reducing visibility and putting lifts on hold. Making sure I keep my calendar at work empty for Monday just in case. :)

I'm agonizing about when to come up there. It's a looong drive for a day trip but maybe a Mon, Tues, would be worth it. Or I could just wait until next Sun, Mon but the long range forecast shows rain. I just need one more trip to end this season. Killing me reading all these past reports and I only got to ski on ice at Bell. Sunday.

I hope everything works out! I understand what your going thru as I did the same thing myself 34 years ago. It's a strange new world out there. I hope you continue to post here as I think it would be interesting to alot of people especially those who fantasize about moving out west. :D
