I would have to say that NOT all turns are good turns. I'm sorry, but I'm not going to spend every spare moment and all my effort fighting for every turn when there are so many other things to be doing. When the conditions are great, I'd rather ski than anything else, but on icy, crappy days, I have a long list of books to read, friends to visit, et cetera.
That being said, I am hoping for some turns this weekend on Isabelle Glacier in Colorado! (Time to get that wax out....)

This question calls for multifaceted answers.

1st and foremost: I have to ski. No choice involved. Being that as it may...I tend to go for some early season turns when there are few trails to be had..but I do enjoy those days of getting the ski legs back and ripping some good GS turns. Also, I live near NYC have a young child..so I also take what I can get. Early season for me these days, usually means day trips to Jiminy or other Berkshire resorts.

Turns are turns are turns...

I'll take them early or late, with snurt(snow mixed with dirt) hike for them, fight the first day crowd for them, anything. This was a long miserable summer, I need to see a light at the end of the tunnel. Right now I'll thinking of wetting down my lawn one of these cold nights and hoping for a frost I can slide on. There are worse addictions, but none stronger.

I will not ski at certain mountains, simply because I do not think it is worth the price of a lift ticket to ski there. I'm not willing to throw down $60 just so I can make some turns down shitty trails at a mountain I hate. I love skiing but I feel that there needs to be a degree of satisfaction and fun achieved during each run that I just do not get from skiing some trails/resorts/conditions.

All I need is a challenge and I get some "worth it" factor.... But many places just don't challenge me..

I understand the whole "anyplace with snow is worth it" thing... But I like either a challenge or an adventure...

Maybe Tucks turns in July are sparse.. But wrap an adventure around it and they reach a whole new level..

Stepping out of the car and walking 20 meters to the Wawa snowpatch... Not so much adventure or challenge.....

After the snowpatch in Hunter got down to under 20 or 25 turns in late June... I stopped climbing..

That being said... We're only a month and a half out or top to bottom skiing here... :)
I love opening day...

I love to ski! I would say all turns are good except for in Mashed Potatoes, and that has only changed in the past few years...since I hurt my knee.

I LOVE ICE (well, actually NE Hardpack which most refer to as ice). I like dry powder. I like man made. I like packed powder. The only stuff that I may turn my nose up to is heavy wet snow...mainly because I fear reinjuring my knee.

I love skiing more then pretty much anything but it kills me to ski where I am not challenged. Must be the A.A.D.D. :)
I really cant stand flats anymore. speed just dont do it for me any longer. Ive gone as fast as I'd ever wanted to go on skis. been there, done that, have the t-shirt.
I need something...trees, steeps, or bumps to get a rush. I get bored way too quickly. which is very bad 'cause lots of places dont do it for me anymore.
