Absolutely done here, and completely satisfied for once. Time to go full tilt on the bike until the snow flies again (or until it's cold enough for the artificial to fly ;) ).

I wish not, but I figure yes. Definitely not making any more lift serviced skiing, so the question becomes, will I ever finally make the trip to Tux? I'm afraid May will be a busy month at work, and I can't convince the person I figured most likely to do the trip that it's worth it. He seems to think that the hike-to-ski ratio is too high, with the long hike even before you get to the base of the bowl (he's done backcountry before, and wants something where you can mark and get right to the hike up the good stuff). Anyone here have anything I can say to him that might change his mind? :)

If Sunday was my last day, though, at least it was a fun one, and I got to meet lots of AZers.

Got 2 days at the Loaf this coming weekend, and then maybe a hike or 2 for turns after that.

Nope! Once you can't ski out of Tux (which is now the case) and the Sherbie starts getting progressively shorter than the halfway point, the hike to ski ratio is very poor. I generally do a lot less skiing up there once there is no ski out which typically is from May on ward. Still fun to do but not quite as fun without the ski out.

Done...

Then again, I still haven't taken the skis out of the car. Maybe I'm unrealistically hoping for a Tux visit. Or maybe I'm just lazy.

Ha, thanks. I'll be sure NOT to send him a link to this thread :) Even with the Sherbie he didn't seem too keen on it. For someone who is, say, not in terribly great hiking shape and might take a few short breaks, how long would you estimate the hike to the base of the bowl would be? 2.5-3 hours? How long up a run in the bowl, say Left Gully?
