I'm psyched about football, it's the only spectator sport that I'm into and I can't wait for the pre-season every year. I already went to a game, I saw the Jets - Rams game and it was great to be there for the first game of the last season of Giants stadium.

Looking forward to watching the Brady/Moss/Baker/Welker show this season, and listening to all the Pats-haters complain about them running-up the score.

Ready. Just got Verizon Fios and the NFL Network is on there so that channel has been getting alot of attention.

At this point I wish I didn't donate the Pats tickets for this Thursday. Guess I will hold onto the last pre-season game to do a dry run before the real season starts.

Maybe someone can convince the Farrelly brothers to make There's Something About Mary 2 to give this guy something to do
I'd rather him keep retiring and unretiring than suffer through another one of those.

But, really, does it surprise anyone? At this point I'm just sorta numb to it.

It's the Jets 50th season too and they did the same thing with their season tickets.

I was watching a Patriots special last night with Gary Tanguay, Michael Felger and Troy Brown and all three said they thought the motivation from Favre is 100% revenge against the Packers for feeling they tried repeatedly to show him the door the last few years there. I'm not sure why he didn't sign with Minnesota last season if this was the case. Or was it a trade to the Jets?

Legacy destroyed. He'll make the Hall of Fame no doubt, but will not be remembered in the same fashion. At one point it would have been him being remembered as a heroic, risk taking gunslinger. Now a lot of talk will be of him being a selfish QB that always put himself above the team. The risky throws were for his own betterment not that of the team as was his consecutive games streak. He should have stepped down at the end of last season while hurt or more Mangini should have had the balls to bench him.

oh well, it will allow the NFL to salivate on the story line for one more season.

I agree that is how people will remember him in the short term. But 5-10-15 years down the road, after he is inducted in the HOF, people will remember him for his records and his style of play. It's really up to the media how they portray him years down the road when his name comes up. If they only focus on his accomplishments, which I think they will, then a new generation, and this present generation with their failing memories, will remember him as the gunslinger he was, and not his fickle personality.

call me an ass, but i just dont get that worked up over animal cruelty when there are children being sold, murdered, exploited and abused on a daily basis.

that being said, i think vick got off rather easy, to say the least. but he's also an immensely overrated quarterback who will most likely be out of the league again in a few years. the nfl is so big, every story gets overblown.

dont matter anyway, as the steelers are gonna roll to another title.

I'm +1 on Vick and his conviction. It's just freakin' dogs. It's not like he killed anybody.

I love watching the guy play. He's a crap quarterback but he can break loose at any time and make an amazing athletic play.

The Steelers will be crushed by the Patriots. :)

I at least get to divert my attention from the Red Sox August swoon.

Yes I am!!! Looking forward to another great year for the New York Football Giants!

J E T S training camp was in my town this year litterally walking distance from where I work---we'd watch the AM practice while sipping coffee. Great fun and good for our little community.
