Ascutney leftovers rocked Sunday on a beautiful sun-splashed day! Ascutney is so much like Magic, not quite as radical terrain, but great pitch, very little grooming on the upper mountain, and a real good vibe!
Mountain was 100% open! Talking to locals - they hadn’t seen a few of these trails open in five years! They also said this was the busiest they’ve ever seen it. That is so cool because we were skiing right onto the lifts! Word is getting out however. Met plenty of Ascutney first-timers there yesterday, my buddy Chris included, that were very impressed and loving the hill! Great time at Ascutney yesterday. It is a hill everyone should experience. They have very little snowmaking, so go after a storm! She was in her glory this weekend!

Lookin good. Some rain midweek, but looks like a little snow refresh on Friday.

Been skiing Ascutney for 25 years Saturday/Sunday were the best i can ever remember. Did you cut the rope under the Quad? Thanks to everyone who looked at that cliff but left it for me

Of course, did it twice once we saw it getting skied on. No one seemed to care!

According to my son the roped trails are actually open just roped off to keep the tourist safe.
The last few years have been no rules for sure
