BARTLETT, New Hampshire — Originally the high Ebay bidder on a private ski area for a day, Larry Fisch, president of real estate management firm Boston's Preferred Properties has teamed up with Attitash to offer the mountain to various public service groups from greater Boston. The date for sale was originally Monday, April 4, but Attitash and Fisch elected to move it to Sunday, April 3 so that more of Boston's youth could take advantage.

"I originally bought Monday," said Fisch. "I knew right from the start though that I wanted this event to be about showing appreciation to my customers, tenants, employees, business associates and most of all, the public service organizations & people that help make Boston the great city it is. I wanted to offer free skiing to the teachers (and their families) at the Boston Public Schools as well as many other people that work tirelessly for our city. I didn't want people to have to take a day off or for kids to miss school. Attitash was supportive and changed the date to Sunday, April 3. They then actually offered to increase my guests to 1,500 people and reduced the ski equipment rental cost to only $5. I'm really excited that a lot of people who might not normally get the chance to ski or snowboard are being given that chance."

Invitees include the Boston Police Patrolman's Association, Boston and Brookline Firefighters, Boys and Girls Club, Big Brothers of Mass. Bay, Big Sisters Association, Jewish Big Brothers, MSPCA, The Fenway Community Development Corporation's membership, The Symphony United Neighbor's membership, The Fenway Civic Association's membership, Northeastern University's Hillel Center, The Congregation of Saint Cecilias' Parish, residents of the Fenway neighborhood, and numerous friends of Boston's Preferred Properties.

Skiers and snowboarders on Sunday, April 3 will enjoy the music of Boston based band Parker House and Theory, Greenline, Left Handed Thieves, and Mike Mathieu. Attitash is also offering a recreational ski race for those wishing to participate on the Competition Slope.

"What a great way to wrap up the season," said John Urdi, vice president of brand management for Attitash. "It was great working with Larry to put this together. We couldn't have asked for a better outcome to our Ebay auction. While we're closing for the winter after Sunday, our sister resorts like Killington and Sunday River will remain open for many more weeks."

Boston's Preferred Properties has operated from their offices on 57 Gainsborough St. in Boston since 1989, assisting with apartment sales and rentals. More information on the real estate rental and sales agency is available at www.liveinboston.com.

Attitash Resort is located in the Mount Washington Valley of New Hampshire. During the winter season the resort offers skiing and snowboarding from two peaks on 70 trails services by 12 lifts. In summer Attitash offers North America's longest Alpine Slides along with a variety of other attractions popular with families including, horseback riding, mountain biking, waterslides and more. The resort features the only full-service slopeside hotel in the Mount Washington Valley: The Attitash Grand Summit Resort Hotel and Conference Center.
