Wow we really need some:snow:

Honestly I'd have to say most other forums could not hold a candle to AZ. I like the layout and maybe it's just me but most other forums have that annoying blue background that makes me squint. :-x

I just wish there was an east coast surfing forum w/ half the action AZ gets :-(

I remember stopping by some resort near Flagstaf on my way out to SLC. I drove up to the base area, looked up it and thought to myself "hmmm, I think the Salt Lake are has better options" got back in the car and drove away.

I don't remember the name of the hill, but for AZ it looked pretty good.

It's the Snow Bowl. We went by it on our way to the Grand Canyon. It did look pretty good.

I know a guy who use to patrol there before they allowed snowmaking. (Indian Reservation thing) One year they where only open 2 days. That was it for him.

The biggest issue about AZ ski areas is they actually sell this stuff in package stores there  :puke:

I've only been in the summer but the San Francisco Peaks in Flagstaff are great mts. The ski area is close to 2500 vert. One time we drove through Flagstaff in June the peaks were snow capped and apparantly on a clear day you can see the north rim of the grand canyon from the top. But yeah, I think you made the right decision choosing SLC.
