I would be very surprised if anyone's list varied from this:
- Sundown (by a mile)
- Mohawk
- Southington
- Powder Ridge
- Woodbury *

I haven't skied PR or Woodbury. But I think I'm going to break down and screw around for a few hours at Woodbury. It is 10 min away. I would waste a couple of hours before work one morning.
I really can't wait for ski season to start! What's next, rate RI ski resorts?![]()
Grassi's backyard
Sundown
I know some people that like Mohawk better than Sundown. I think it's a crowd thing, and they don't have a particularly strong preference for more challenging terrain...

If it opens this year, I think I'd have to put Powder Bump ahead of Southington Bump, just simply for the fact that about 3 minutes from powder Bump is the farm market at Lyman Orchards and they have some unbelievably good baked goods there!![]()

I'll have to disagree about Sundown being a mile better than Mohawk.
Yeah, me.I know some people that like Mohawk better than Sundown. I think it's a crowd thing, and they don't have a particularly strong preference for more challenging terrain...
Yeah, me.
What I mainly don't like about Sundown is how most of the trails empty in the same place. It gets a little harried for beginners. Mohawk spreads it out more.
That said, I consider myself lucky to be in between 2 nice little areas that are just so darn convenient. It could always be worse.
