3. Sugarbush
4. MRG
5. Pico
6. Killington
7. Magic

Haven't skied anywhere else in VT so I can't judge 'em....although based on what I've seen and heard about smugg's that should be up in the top 5 by the end of the season

Out of the ones I've skied:

  1. MRG
  2. Sugarbush
  3. Magic
  4. Killington
  5. Mount Snow
  6. Haystack
  7. Ascutney
  8. Okemo
I suspect once I get to ski them Burke, Jay, Stowe and Smuggs would filter in somewhere above Killington.

I've skied stowe but only once and all the good stuff was closed. I'm sure it would be 1st or 2nd had i gotten a full tour.

I asteriked magic because that ranking is based upon the right conditions. More so then any other area.

I've skied every major VT resort execpt Smuggs & Pico. So...that said:
1. Mad River Glen - my absolute favorite place. The terrain, vibe, etc make it #1
2. Stowe - Awesome terrain. Not so awesome prices anymore. Skied it a ton in college w/a college pass
3. Sugarbush - Awesome terrain, vibe etc.
4. Burke - Where I grew up. Awesome fast cruisers. No crowds. Good trees.
5. Jay - Yeah...I put Burke ahead of Jay.....why? Crowd factor. Burke doesn't have 'em.
6. Magic
7. Stratton
8. Killington
9. Mt. Snow
10. Okemo - maybe I was there on a bad day, but I really didnt like it.

Honerable Mention - Middlebury Snow Bowl - Though I get bored after a couple hours, but it's fun and it's cheap.

None of them I'd rate as bad though. As much as I hate the management decisions at Killington, I enjoyed skiing it the past 2 springs with the sunny days on Bear Mountain. Okemo I put last because it's just not my style anymore, but the management does a great job at making it a premier beginner/intermediate mountain and I throughly enjoyed it my first few years skiing. Mount Snow was dead last under the ASC days, but I went the day it changed over to Peaks and that one day made me suddenly love it... I've never seen employees so happy in my life.

Only skied Sugarbush and Mad River Glen once each, both very late season with sketchy conditions years ago. Excellent mountians both, but didn't get enough good runs to really appreciate.

The only reason the bush beats stowe is i hate the drive....

burke

killington is dead to me

if i knew more about smuggs, i would for sure put that somewhere. i went once in the sixth grade, i sucked pretty bad then. any kind of new snow and pico or burke top the list because i don't like the whole pow day competition thing that always seems to happen at areas like jay or stowe.

The places I've been to:

MRG
Sugarbush
Stowe *
Jay
Killington
Magic
Okemo, Stratton, Bromley

*I've only been to Stowe twice, and once was late season. While I've only skied Jay 4 times and MRG a similar number of times, I feel I have a better feel of them. Stowe is probably the wild card that can move in my rankings.

I have not been to Smuggs. I suspect it would be in my top 5.
