Like the Gatekeeper and the Keymaster..Andyzee and Marc should NOT be together in the same room....unless I'm there to enjoy the outcome.

Thanks for the laugh.

If this ever became an advertised "family oriented" board, I'd leave and never come back.

Dude, I heard Greg is making this strictly family oriented. It's been fun while it lasted, maybe I'll catch u on the slopes.

Edit: Don't let the door hit you in the ass! :)

I told you to save your breath, old man. You keep wasting energy like this and you'll have to use that Lark all the time.

Marc and I have been conspiring to spice things up around here. Everytime we try something none of you guys will take the bait. I thought my underwear thread had so much potential... Our hope for some wild and crazy posts were quickly dashed by people actually posting seriously about their underwear and why they wear them.

All good explanations .. I am a little more knowledgeable now .. thanks for helping an old man to understand ..

HEH! Cut it out pal...you've GOT to stop connecting yourself to the 50+ crowd.

As a 50+ guy myself..."your brinin me down".

Anyone taking up snowboarding post 30 years old is exempt! *YOU!*

I still play hoops with the college kids. I consider myself "exempt" as well.

The Pro Forms thing is definitely an "insider" thing. Unless you hang with a rep (I do but most folks don't)...how could you know?

Sure it's nice to save a buck...and it's tough to walk away from deep discounts. BUT...for related reasons...it's pretty tough to find a decently stocked fishing tackle shop locally when Cabela's and Bass Pro Shops offer so much, for decent prices...and almost overnight.

Patronize your local shops if you want to keep them around.

*Go to the light* (smirk)

I'm not into inciting flames, but anonymous ski industry professional over at TGR says his company is revoking any pro forms to any tgr members, but will be extending pro forms to AZ members. Who is this guy? Is he blowing smoke? Or bring on the pro forms for us family oriented folks.

I'm bringing this up because people like that don't deserve:flag: a space in either forum with such incendiary words.

Heres to peace with other forums, don't get sucked into a flame war.

OK, I'm skimming this thread and am going to suggest that the person who knows the most about this "pro deal" PM Greg with the details rather than continue this dialogue in here. That way we can all benefit rather than continuing to spin our wheels in here...

Now that is funny. Think about it, what other forum would actually post seriously about underwear they wear. I didn't read anything on the thread because I thought it was yet another poll on something useless to know. Now I see the genius in it. Good job guys, very good.

Hey Marc, I don't mess with birds. Maybe you do, but please keep that to yourself. Does this mean you're not leaving?

He's blowing smoke. I'm the Nordica pro rep at Whiteface. If I gave a form to anyone other then a pro and Nordica found out, I wouldn't be a pro rep anymore.

. What's a pro form? ..

Ski companys give discounts to ski pros, instructors, patrol, etc. Sometime in September the companies get forms (emailed now) to their various reps at different ski areas. It's the reps job to promote the manufacture and to give out the pro-forms to area pros and assist in anyway to make the transaction smooth. The rep must sign the form for it to be processed.

On the forms you check the make, model and length of the ski you want, or size with boots. Depending on the ski company you either take the form to a shop that deals that make (in my case Nordica) and they send it in to the company and the company ships back to the shop and the buyer picks it up there. In some cases the buyer mails the form directly to the company and they mail directly to the buyer.

The discounted prices are listed on the form, typically 35% _ 40% off the shop price

Ha haaaa- sucks to be you if that's

.... Andy, cten, grassi, etc.- I know what all of you sonsabitches are about to say, so save your breath.

I think AZ has the right amount of information, thoughtfulness, and good humor. That why I come here. Reading threads on TGR doesn't do it for me (with the exception of a few cross posts that were really interesting).

To be honest with you Marc, my sense of humor is much closer to yours than most AZers. I can be down right inappropriate at times. As a relatively new poster here at AZ, I've kept it clean and coherent. Once I get a few AZ outings under my belt you will see the true me.

It appears my hypocrisy knows no bounds.

No .. I forget

In that installment of Seinfeld, George gets a job with Play Now. He claims to be disabled in some way and they get him a personalized Rascal scooter to get around. Later in the episode George accidentally crashes into another Rascal scooter on the streets of NY. A group of "senior citizens" comes out of a store and catches Geroge in the act. George makes some comment and puts the pedal to the metal on his scooter. Georges battery runs out mid chase and he picks up the Rascal and starts running with it. As he is running with the scooter in hand his boss sees him and fires him on the spot for faking a disability.

I thought that was the point that his boss wanted to fire him but couldn't, and then his coworkers then treated him like dirt to get him to quit. They baracaded his office door, installed asbestos, and sandblasted.

Was that not also the "Kramerica" and the "Helloooooooo" episode?
