This thread is going nowhere fast.

Who cares about a troll on TGR that's using AZ to get the best of them. Who cares what they say about us on TGR? Who cares who knows the term Pro-Form? I come back from my first full day of teaching and I find this crap people? Let's go back to the summer crotch itch thread for crying out loud!!!!!!!

I must be letting the fact that I've been at work all day get the best of me. I just re-read my message and I sound really angry :snow: I usually don't get worked up about stupid stuff.

It wasn't in response to your post NEK, I didn't get through everything before I hit reply.

The sad part is, a while back i was considering joining TGR. Those people have some problems.

P.S. Is it just me or was a moderater from TGR using bad language towards the person who posted the thread?

SnowRider

How do they have problems, seriously? You never hear people swear in real life? Also, they are just joking around with each other in that thread. You don't joke around with your friends?

Pizza was a ski patrol? *gulp*

By the way. I am a way better ski and internetter than all of you, so hah!;-)

TGR vs. AZ......vs. SJ or Epic or FTO or even K-Zone for that matter.

All different boards with different vibes, expectations, etc. I just can't get into the TGR thing. That's just not me. I can understand the appeal, but it just ain't my style. Most people that spend time at TGR know that they're just ribbing each other for the most part, but newbies probably have no idea that's the case. I've always wanted AZ to be a place where anyone can feel comfortable participating; whether you're an expert or a total beginner. I don't think labeling a new poster a JONG is all that cool to be honest. That's the cliquey kind of shit I left back in high school.

I tend to take posts I make pretty seriously. Stuff you post online will likely be there forever and I would hate to look back in 5 or 10 or 25 years and see that I was being a total dick or acting like a fool. I also don't post under an alias and have met many AZers in person. My rule of thumb is to not post something online that I wouldn't say to someone's face shortly after meeting them for the first time. If some of the stuff I've read on various forums is something they would actually say in person, well than that's probably not someone I'd want to hang with. My goal here is to have civil and on topic discussion with a decent amount of comeraderie thrown in. It's seemed to work well so far and AZ has emerged as the best community to discuss Eastern skiing. And that's due to the participation of all its great members, new and old.

I've seen some personal shots at me on TGR (just do a search for my name or alpinezone) and I've learned to just ignore it. There's even an alias there pretending to be me. I actually should be flattered that AZ is big enough of a presence to warrant the attention of a forum that busy. And yeah some probably would say "wah... wah, lighten up Greg" but AZ has truly become my passion so I'm natually somewhat protective of it.

In any event, different stroke for different folks. I learned early on that there is simply no way to please everyone.

I use to get pro forms deals when I was in the idustry. Who cares? The difference between AZ and TGR is clear and I prefer to be here.

If they want to compete, they should have come into the... are you competive thread. I comfortable with my skiing and don't care how they feel about us or our skiing abilities.
