Just checked the web sites for two local ski NH areas, Pats Peak and Crotched...both are making snow.

Yes, I know it won't be for long and it should be nothing unusual for December, but with all of the bad weather news lately I thought we could use some good news for a change.

Just got back from windham today they were blasting snow like crazy on all the runs that were open plus about 4 unopen runs so they should be improving some.

Cannon is working on Upper, Middle, and Lower Cannon, and Tramway....Looks like they will finally be top to bottom by the weekend.

Loon and Waterville also are making some of the white stuff.

It was actually snowing HARD in the MRV this afternoon. It didn't last long, but my mood improved about 100% and it was enough that I heard the sweet sound of plows running and had to do some shoveling. We needed about twelve more hours of the stuff, but we'll take what we can get at this point.

Good to hear! :snow:

I'm still waiting to hear the first plow of the season down here...

The forecasts sure have improved as this week progressed. Just in time for Xmass week. Still not that cold, but at least a fair amount of snowmaking will take place all over the NE. Hopefully the Saturday precip stays mostly frozen.

Take a gander at the trip report from last night to Crotched at http://forums.alpinezone.com/12102-crotched-mountain-12-19-2006-a.html

They made some awesome snow and hopefully will continue to do so.

It's about time a warm forcast was put out that has ended up getting slightly colder.
It seems as though all of the extended forcasts that we've had this year have called for cold and snow at the end of a week and they end up warming into rainstorms.
This time it is the opposite. I like it :)
