You're apparently more skilled and comfortable in tight trees than I am...SkiDog said:25'?? thats plenty...my skis are only like 185CM...they can fit sideways EASY ;-)

Tight trees are far beyond my ability or comfort zone. I ski for four - me, my wife and two daughters. I need to be careful about the amount of risk I take.SkiDog said:Ha...if I can....i live in them...the tighter the better....I like that "out of control" feeling that I get when I don't know if I can actually MAKE the next turn....risky??? yeah maybe....fun.??? HECK YEAH....
that trail does look like fun for sure.......
Just think of the first 4 or so turns on Julio at KMART......(if you know it) and thats how i like my trees...well maybe a LITTLE wider than that..

hmmm, something about that sounds familiar just be sure to remember that driving to the ski area is more dangerous than skiing the woods! i ski for two... but that effects how i ski, not what i ski, unless something is beyond my ability. ya definitely got to keep things within your ability level, but pushing the comfort level is a good thing, you don't get better if you don't push your comfort.Greg said:I ski for four - me, my wife and two daughters. Very true. A lot of glades are filled with small pine trees and brush that is up to 4 feet tall. In the summer and fall they sure do look much different and it makes picturing lines far more difficult.riverc0il said:the "dry" pictures of that trail look quite nice! they did a really good job clearing out that run and with only a few stumps sticking out here and there. most people would be amazed to see what they are really skiing over. that is a well maintained glade from the looks of those pictures.

Well, based on the filename, that picture was apparently taken in early April 2002.skibum1321 said:Very true. A lot of glades are filled with small pine trees and brush that is up to 4 feet tall. I'm sure it is still very cleared out. The southern resorts need to clear their woods more than Northern resorts. This is just based on typical base depths. It would never be skiable at Beast if they needed that much snow.Greg said:Well, based on the filename, that picture was apparently taken in early April 2002.
