You'll like it. Make sure you hike Katchina. Combine Taos with Silverton and Wolf Creek and a snowcat at Durango Mtn Resort for an unforgettable southwestern swing.

Indeed very sick terrain. If you can hang with big bumps then you get rewarded with some of the steepest most awesome terrain in the country. It doesn't track out nearly as fast as Colorado or even utah so powder hangs aroung much longer. You need maybe a 75 inch base for the place to really go off. I went on stuff here that scared the living crap out of here, not many areas compare with steeps. Overall vibe is refreshing for a western resort, lots of texans that mostly hang on the few decent groomers, the good stuff is suprisingly empty most of the time.


Btw- they opened with a 70 inch base today.
