...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM TUESDAY TO 1 AM EST WEDNESDAY...
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BURLINGTON HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM TUESDAY TO 1 AM EST WEDNESDAY FOR THE WESTERN SLOPES OF THE GREENS MOUNTAINS...TO INCLUDE EASTERN PORTIONS OF RUTLAND COUNTY.
8 TO 12 INCHES OF SNOW IS EXPECTED TO FALL FROM MIDNIGHT TUESDAY THROUGH MIDNIGHT WEDNESDAY. PRECIPITATION WILL BEGIN AS A MIX OF RAIN...SNOW...SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN IN THE EARLY MORNING HOURS TUESDAY...BEFORE CHANGING TO ALL SNOW BY THE AFTERNOON. SNOW MAY BE HEAVY AT TIMES TUESDAY AFTERNOON.

7-10 for Windsor county, 7-11 in most of the northern counties and some spots of 8-12. The storm slowed down significantly!!!

It'll sure free up some of those scary junction points of trails already covered...and will open a few more that are in the making.... Looking forward to some mornings this week!! :daffy: ...Will remember the camera..;-)

how are the following mountains going to do...


1. Sunapee

Terrible

2. Ascutney

Somewhere between terrible and bad.

4. Any other southern NH areas

Not really. For southern New England your only real hope is maybe a couple inches of snow from uplift/backlash at the very end. Just go to Sunapee, they have amazing snowmaking and will survive it fine. Though it will be quite crowded. Your closest hope for natural snow is probably Killington because they have elevation of their side.

Drive one hour further north from Killington and you'll be at Sugarbush. It sounds like we're going to make out nicely.

It's important for the northern resorts to have cold, snowy weather in Southern NE and NY, too, as many people don't even start thinking about skiing until they can look out their windows and see snow.

Tonight: Periods of snow and freezing rain, mainly after 4am. Low around 25. Calm wind. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Total nighttime snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Tuesday: Periods of snow and freezing rain before 1pm, then periods of rain and sleet between 1pm and 4pm, then periods of freezing rain and sleet after 4pm. High near 33. Calm wind becoming east around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of 3 to 7 inches possible.

Tuesday Night: Snow likely. Cloudy, with a low around 20. North wind between 6 and 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

Wednesday: A chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 29. Northwest wind between 8 and 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.


it's better than nothing, just hope it doesn't change over to a mess tomorrow.

Looks like im gonna be deburring my edges a lot this week....that is if they are still there by the end of the week
