Brett -
Check trip reports. Bell was almost 100% open - until the thaw hit on Monday. Trip report from Bell as recent as Monday was posted. Lots of pics and vids in the reports and at my blog. But things have changed drastically since Monday.

Looks like rain on Friday - then cold weather back for the weekend and next week.

Might want to skip skier appreciation day and opt for discount tix available starting Friday here.

I skied it Monday and while it had a lot of coverage it was pretty gluey, tough to turn in. I was actualy looking for ice on yahoo to make turns on. It's prolly lost a lot since then though.

Well, my friend who was supposed to go with me isn't feeling well so we're going to go to Belleayre on Tuesday instead. I'll go someplace a little closer tomorrow, probably in the Poconos.

I skied there yesterday. There was a few trails that were closed but it was great. A few spots (mainly high traffic intersections) that were thin, but the rest of the mountain was awesome. Nice soft snow that I could really crank into. Pound the bumps and have no fear of hard falls.

I loved the day. In several spots I jammed my pole as far as I could and didnt hit bottom.
