You should definitely hit up Jackson Hole...I'm taking my 6th trip there this winter and might combine it with Montana and Utah. Some people describe Jackson Hole as a perfect ski area due to it's consistent pitch. There are really only a few scary runs inbounds..most of the terrain is just nice steep 30-35 degree fall line skiing. The Hobacks are 2500 vert of wide open bowls and gullies..and the other lower faces to the skiers left of The Hobacks are sweet as well.

Not this year. I'm planning to take the winter off to ski and collect unemployment. Congress extended unemployment benefits an extra 13 weeks. I looked on the calendar, at my bank balance, and calculated that I don't have to go get a job until the snow melts. I have infinite frequent flyer points but Jackson Hole is probably out of my budget this year. I have a free place to stay at Whistler. That and a dirt bag Salt Lake City trip or two staying in Midvale or Sandy on the bus loop if I can't bum a couch from one of the Utards.

Steezy...it makes up for last winter when I remember you saying you only had like 12 vacation days..

Hidden Valley can be tough...grew up skiing there...got a chuckle out of that post. Remember Kamikaze at VV? If you have skied there, you would remember.

Youre really bad at skiing/boarding if you think Breckenridge is a good mtn for experts. Breckenridge is wide open intermediate groomer central. Targhee isnt a place for experts either. Keystone? Seriously....

Just because it has a run or two that might hang with the big boys like Silverton, Jhole, Kicking Horse, and the Bird doesnt mean its a good mtn for experts. If that was the qualification then the birm outback of my house is over 45 degrees and definately the best mtn for experts IMO.

Yeah I was like WTF when I saw Grand Targhee..it's a nice place for a rest day though..and to get inbounds untracked 2-3 days after a storm..

other than that, only skied Stowe once when I was 14...foggy, crappy day, can't judge it till I go back...and similar deal at Sugarbush just more recent...the list stops at three for now...Sunday River is the home hill and I can find plenty of terrain to have fun on but calling it "best for experts" is a leap I can't quite make...not even sure the Loaf belongs on the list - when I think about abundant "expert" terrain I'm mostly thinking west of the mississippi

West(including their side country):
Whistler/Blackcomb
Jackson Hole
Snowbird
Alta
Revelstoke (Cat Powder on Mt Makenzie)

i will give revey a full session this seasion. and see. there just something soooo cool about a brand new area. i just wish i was going with a crew of people that are a little nutty like me. plus there are very few people it trust to be in slack/side country with, so i may have to keep it pretty tame.

1. Vail (backside)
2. A-Basin
3. Beaver Creek (Birds of Prey)
4. Solitude (cuz I was 13, just learning, and lost a ski... had to ski down on one, luckily without any kid chasing me and asking for his two dollars)
5. Killington, I guess. (I nearly broke my hip here on one of my first trips in the East.)

I've been living out here for the past seven seasons and still have not made it to MRG or some of the other places mentioned in this thread. Hopefully this winter :fingerscrossed:
