Any on-slope food at Deer Valley. The skiing is boring, but the food is amazing (and expensive!).

The food at the Jackson Gore base lodge at Okemo was surisingly very good. The cheese soup in a bread bowl was delicious as was the rasberry tart for dessert.

The place was kept immaculately clean at all times

There is a restaurant in the village at Mont Snow that I enjoyed last season...except when the AMC is operating their Huts, I like the Summit Cafe' at Loon (please don't confuse it with the Camp III lodge)...I thought the "Old Schwendi-Hutte" @ WVV was the best in NH, but they don’t operate it the same way and I was not impressed last season (I still think brown bagging it on the chair was a better idea)…NOTHING at Sugarloaf interests me...I haven't been at Sugarbush in a long time...I believe the mid mountain lodge at Jackson Hole offers the best ON-MOUNTAIN food...

I forgot that the salad platter at Burke Mountain was a good deal...

That place is fun... A LONG time ago we were shot gunning beers out of cans there(late in the day)..
We taught some German guys how to do it...

We had a blast... Told them it was the only way to drink crap american beer... :)

The grill at the top shack works for me. (Stratton's top shack is a close second with Beefalo Chili).

For public eats, Midmountain on Ski Apache serves a mean green chile cheeseburger.

That is so funny! I can see a few of us think alike. When I first opened this thread, I was confused to read posts talking about actual food serving places.

I was thinking "Hmmm, which trail has a nice big rock on the side to sit on" or "Which lodge has a picnic bench with a great view!"

I guess that is what being cooped up in a cubicle 5 days a week does to you.

I really enjoyed the food at the base lodge of Holiday Valley Last winter when I was there. As far as ski area food goes, and for less than 10 bucks, my son and I were well fed.

loon's summit and camp 3 are aestically pleasing but financially demoralizing.

But the post is about the best spot, you can still bring your own lunch to these places! ;)

Financially demoralizing is the look of terror on your face when the grill cook at Killington asks you if you want cheese on your $12.99 hambuger.

One has to do quick monetary calculations on how much extra the slice of cheese will cost and how it will affect your ability to afford monthly car, house and cost of living expenses    :D

I swear that one will need a bank loan soon to ski, stay and eat at an ASC resort

The back of my truck at the bottom of the headwall at Shawnee Peak. Gas grill and beer and good friends. It can't be beat on a sunny spring day!
