Mount Snow's Facebook page had a post that The Matterhorn Inn (located maybe a mile South of Mount Snow on Route 100 next to the West Dover Police Station) turned on their small, homemade snowmaker and made a little bit of the white stuff last Sunday AM! :) :snow:

I'm kicking around building one of those in VT. We have a stream in the backyard...and an old dug well...so water isn't an issue. I just need to figure out a way to tell my wife I need another air compressor.

I'd just buy it, forgiveness is always easier than permission.

My buddy says the same thing. "Hon, I'm home! Can you help me unload this compressor.....Stihl chains saw and Bilstein shocks?"

Speaking of backyard snowmakers. Does anyone know where to find instructions and a parts list to build your own? I'd love to put a little one together for the back yard.

Hmmm, I was thinking I could do it for a couple hundred but since i don't own a compressor or power washer it's a pretty big investment. I have been meaning to get a compressor ... maybe I can be set up by next year.

Back on topic:

Sunday River.

Looks like they're going to put on a fan gun show (Just to the left of the lift on the right side of the image - 2 boyne low-e fan guns that were placed there at about 9:45 this morning according to timestamps on the webcam):

I would expect tomorrow morning when it's still cold and the sun's up they'll turn them on for a little PR snow blowing.
