Got some boards I need to get on ebay. Just wondering about your thoughts if now would be a good time or should I wait until the leaves are brown? My goal is to maximize the winning bids (but you probably already knew that)

Wait untill late november...when the need for snow equipment hits its peak in sales. I Ebay all the time and you do tend to get a good amount for the smallest things. Anywho do you live near wachusett? They have a awsome ski swap there. Check it out.

I do ski club and the money that you make can be put on a cow card for use of any and all costs. If you want cash I think it's like a %80 to %20 deal or something.

i have had good luck mid- to late- season, circa march-ish. that is when a lot of places look to start dumping merchandise and skis that were severely overstocked hit the secondary market place which does a lot of ebay business. this is a good time to buy this year's model skis in new condition. wait till the summer and the good stuff or high demand sizes may be gone. fall is a good time to shop for used gear. lots of folks looking to upgrade to the latest and greatest looking to dump their old gear.

Hmm... this Wachusett ski-swap sounds tempting. What do you think are fair prices for these items? I have never been to ski swap before so I have no idea what kind of prices stuff goes for.

Pocket Rockets+s912(5 days, good condition) = $300?
Line 1260's+some marker 12 din bindings(15 days, pretty good condition) = $150?
Lange Gx7 boots(100 days) = $20?
Rossi ski jacket, used two seasons, good conditon = $30?
Head Edge 10.0 boots(60 days) = $25?
Mini-public enemies + youth binding (50 days+) pretty beat = $15?

At a swap what you think I could get for a pair of last years Public Enemy, with the Rossi Scratch Axial binding. Skied maybe 20-25 days. Have slight base damage visible, but they have been proffesionaly repaired.

I sell gear on ebay every season. I've sold it at different times of the season, but you get the most people looking from mid Oct. through Nov. All it takes is a couple of guys getting in a bidding war at the end of the auction and you can really make out well.

On a more micro level, you'll want to consider what time and day of the week to start (which more importantly is directly related to end) the auction. Midweek at 8:00 PM is my recommendation (stay away from weekends.) The west coast can bid from work while the East has time to get home and bid. The final minutes on an auction are crucial. I'll watch an item and start bidding on it in the last few minutes.
