Cutting back to Sunbowl yesterday the only trail option was Big Ben. What's the deal with this trail?

Is this an old learning area that no longer has a lift? The trail seems massive in width, with lots of snowmaking but it's hard for beginners to even get there.

A minute from the Alta exit off the I-15!
Yep. Between that terrain in the sunbowl and the Tamarack triple Stratton has some of the best beginner terrain in the East, IMO. Would be better of course if that quad in the Sunbowl ever ran...beginners can't access those trails from the six pack there, iirc. It's a shame.

That green run off the top isn't too shabby either, when there isn't hoards of people.

Stratton should just realign the entire lift system on the Sunbowl side and make it make sense.

I remember when they cut Big Ben. Back then the Sun Bowl was a double chair and the day lodge was a little warming hut with maybe 4 picnic tables.
