Skied Black for the first time in 25 years and it was amazing. It had snowed in Bartlett/Jackson for about 3 days and I figured it would be prime time for a trip back to Black.
I really loved it, about 10 people on the mountain that day, sun shining, temps were perfect, views killer. Black is so intimate, you can drive your car over to the ticket office then drive it over to the chair lift, eat lunch in your car then head back up.
The trails are short but exciting. If you have kids the learning area is very nice, enought slope for them to get going, you dfont have to worry about other skiers crashing into the kids cause the learning slope is all by itself.
All for 29 bucks mid week and I think 39 on weekends. A real change of pace vs the bigger mountains and possibly for the less serious skier or people learning the best place in that area to go.
My web page lists the other moutnians in the area, pricing etc and also fun things to do in the Jackson Bartlett area, check it out at myledgeview.com
