From their Facebook page:
"Improvements continued this past weekend with extensive widening of Bob o' Link, T2, Maple Glades, and Valley View."

No! No! Please don't go to the dark side! No,no, no. It was so fun just the way it was!

Could be a good thing. Black's glades are very small and short. Maybe they are expanding the glades and cutting more options....

i hope this is the case black mtn is awsome only skied there twice but awsome trails and a great small mtn

Interesting... They added a couple of new trails in recent years., T2 Glade could be doubled in size if it went down all the way... Love airing the cliff at the beginning...

Got a quick retort on their fb page

"Bill, the whole trails weren't widened just a few sections that made it hard to make snow and groom. As for the glades, T2's exits were widened to allow for easier turning, and Maple Glades was cleaned up and smoothed from years of use. We all enjoy the narrow trails thanks for the enthusiasim!"

phew!

It's my job to worry about legacies! :dunce:

There is one one thing they could improve in the trees at Black....get rid of that line of barbed wire! I've come very close to diving a tip under it. I don't even want to think about the damage that would do.

So THAT'S where the Avatar came from. Lovely pics.

Berk East is kinda like black, kinda sorta, well, maybe not..., but black's trails are definitely a lot narrower and it skis like a private reserve. Black is also one of those places that you remember every shot, every trail, I have such great memories. I made fresh tracks ALL DAY midweek 2 years prior.

Another thing (and I'm not sure it it's doable) is some sort of cross over trail to get from Skiers Left side of the mountain back over to the right. I recall digging Lost Bo and White Knuckle, but the lower half of the mountain on that side is pretty darn flat.

Mainly I recall no user friendly way to get back to the double. You get dumped down skiers left of the triple and have the long skate back over to the double. If they were able to somehow regrade a bit and put a cross over at the bottom of Upper Jackson Standard back to the double it would ski better.

It is. I just find the pucker brushes limits the lines you can take. Well, the lines I'm willing to take. There are some nice drops in there where the landings are totally covered in pucker brush. Not something I generally enjoy landing on.

There would be nice pillow lines on a deep powder day... Cut the brush, it needs it...

Call them up and volunteer. This is like the last stuff a resort gets to. I just got back from volunteer day at Magic where we cut a lot of this, low hanging branches, saplings and putshed a lot of downfall into neat little piles. It opened up things amazingly. . Ooooooh, we are gonna have a good time in the woods this winter!!!!
