Just wanted it for the first time tonight via Netflix. Sweeeeet movie. Never go past the day glow but those guys did some pretty ballsy stuff and skied it well for skinny skis. Amazing that a ski movie twenty years old is better than almost anything coming out these days. Rocking tunes, humor, not taking itself to serious, but still showing some serious skiing. Too bad more movies aren't made like this. Greg Stump did ski movies right. Interesting how so many of things things discussed in this film just got worse like law suits and resorts not wanting extreme skiing being done in bounds due to liability, etc. Good stuff.

Nice to watch skiing on a warm rainy night in November.

That's my all-time favorite ski movie. I have the Greg Stump box set of DVDs and Blizzard is the one that's worth watching.

I always liked the Maltese Flamingo. It's the only Greg Stump I saw on a big screen so it's stuck with me.

Great movie. I watched The Waiting Game last night again. This is a very good movie too. It is on Netflix too. FYI, if you have DVD burner, none of the ski movies are write protected.

Agreed that this was a good weekend for a ski movie. My wife and I watched one of the Warren Miller films ,"Ride", on the watch instantly Netflix...really got us excited for the season to get rolling here in VT.

Ride was a pretty run of the mill film...the highlight for us was the two kids in Wisconsin building thier backyard jump complete with a wooden tower and ramp for the inrun and a homebrew snowmaking system to provide the snow. The lowlight was the inclusion of a segment on snowmobiling in a ski flick.

Is Blizzard available as a watch instantly selection?

Great movie...Blizzard and Hot Dog are two big factors in my moving to Tahoe for a year after high school.
I don't agree that things have gotten worse though...back then there were no terrain parks, you'd get your ticket pulled for building a booter...skiers weren't allowed in halfpipes...trees at most eastern resorts that weren't gladed runs on the map were considered out of bounds, J-Hole's backcountry was OB, no access from the mountain, etc. I think many things have loosened up and we've got more freedom and access to everything the mtns offer...and blizzard is part of that change, one of the first steps in making skiing cool again.

Yep, I got that one too...:flag: Great ski flick as well.

Does having a library of 80's early 90's (WM White Magic, Extreme Skiing others too) make me old school?

Or new school or old/ new school?

Got all Lito's videos too....lotsa 90's PSIA stuff....from my former days of being obsessed with technique instead of having fun.....

Elderly packrat here.

Stumpy is a friend of mine. While hanging out with him last year he gave us a glimpse of his next movie. You should be excited. I am!

I know one of the guys that Terry skis with at Shawnee Peak was influential in getting Greg Started back in the day. Think his name was Bruce and I don't know if I've ever seen someone in I'm assuming his 50's rip like this guy does.

Maybe Terry will comment about the relationship.
