Hey All,

I'm back from another fun session at Blue mountain the True mountain. I left Allentown at 6:46AM and rocked out to some old school hip hop on Big Tiggers mix on 98.9. I pulled into the lower lot at 7:11AM and there were only a few cars. The temperature was in the upper 30s with fog on the upper mountain. All the rain had ended by this point. I booted up and headed to the ticket scanner. Apparently two people left their snowboards in the ski check yesterday..At 7:28AM Toast arrived and we were the first two to be scanned in followed by Rodney.

The snow was soft groomed granuler to start..Soft on the top inch or so and firm below so you could push as hard as you wanted to. I made some groovy turns down Lazy Mile. After our second 6-pack ride, M-Bike Mike was standing at the top and we proceeded down an uber sa-weet Paradise. It's such a nice run with no people and no red-coats. Then we skied Barneys bumps which were solid in the troughs with semi-refrozen piles of crud. I'd give them a 4 out of 10. Not mad steezy but do-able. We ended up skiing the bumps twice in total and M-Bike Mike popped out of one of his skis and took a nice little slide. Otherwise he was grilling up some serious steeze in the bumps and was getting mad steezy air on the side of Lazy Mile.

Then one run I saw BMTroublemaker hauling ass down challenge when I was cutting over to falls from Lazy Mile. He apparently cleared at least half of the falls and wiped out ass over tea kettle. Toast helped him out and then he and his buddy wearing Blue joined our Crue. Lots of fun was had on the sluish on Challenge and Toast got whistled at on Burma. BMToublemaker got pulled over for fast skiing on Paradise..apparently they wanted to get Toast but he skied too fast. It turns out he never got a ticket because the patrollers didn't have pens. The next run I saw T.Maki and the Freeride team on Challenge and watched them go one by one make lots of turns on the right edge of Challenge. I made about 20 turns just doing little pivot-hop turns..it was alot of fun. Trevor introduced me to the group and I really wish skifreak was there to talk to them about Smartstyle. After that I skied 2 more runs ending on Lazy Mile and then left at 10:15AM. I skied 17 runs including 16 from the pack and one from the quizzle. Crowds were very light and no liftlines to speak of due to both high speed lifts running.

On the way back I had breakfast at the Blue mountain drive inn. Service was hella slow which allowed me to drink alot of coffee and watch the line of cars heading to Blue from NJ. I expect the afternoon session to be pretty crowded and tomorrow could be packed. Definitely a fun session at Blue. Temperatures were in the mid 40s when I left..a very mild day.
