Hey all,

I'm back from a fun powderiffic session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I pulled into the lower lot at 8:05AM and there were a few stray flurries. Toast pulled in a minute later followed by KevinThomas and Shadows. After we got scanned in at 830AM the snow picked up in intensity..The fresh cord with a little dusting of new snow was great. There were hardly any people skiing this morning..maybe a few dozen..the snowfall picked up in intensity it snowed 1-2 inches an hour all morning and into the early afternoon.

I also skied a few runs with Chris(blue pants bumpskier), Rodney and GahSkier George.

At around 1030AM Toast went to switch skis and him and I had a few beers in the parking lot. Toast recognized the girl booting up in the parking lot next to us from Nestors. Anyway her name was Nicki and she had a beer with us and she also had an airline bottle of wine in her pocket. KevinThomas left because he had to be at work at Noon and me, Shadows, Toast and Nicki skied some more runs. Burma and Raceway had lots of hidden powder stashes and the side of Lazy mile was deep and provided some float..nice soft velvety powder everywhere. My last run I poached Chute which yielded freshies but I encounted some crunchiness underneath..anyway no real damage to my skis..just a little lost p-tex.

After 20 runs and 3.5 hours I left at 12:10PM. There was a solid 4 inches of snow in the lower lot. The drive home was treacherous. I kept it at 25-30mph over the mountain and never more than 40mph the whole way home. Once I got near Allentown, the snow switched over to sleet and then freezing rain which made the roads even worse.

A really fun session I got to make hundreds of powder turns and skiing with some PASRs is always great. I'll be back first thing tomorrow morning..all the new powder with the ice layer that's falling now should add nicely to the base..I don't think the marquee route under the 6-pack is ready..maybe if we get more snow Sunday. The great start to the ski season just keeps getting better..:spread:
