Bode Miller (with a spoiler)

Well on a different note from what everyone is talking about. How about the World Cup. Our friend Bode is doing VERY well as of now. Currently 3rd in overall standings. He won at Wengen with a huge margin of .67 which was 1.47 until Cushe came in second. Crashing through the finish as so many had done that day he proved once again that when he turns it on it's a sight to see. Whatever demons plagued him in the Olympics seem to be gone and he is back on track. And on a weather note, Europe is suffering as we are with lousy weahter and no snow. If you weren't racing there was little snow to be seen on the mountains. Upwards of 55 degrees on the slopes which makes for some pretty hairy racing as they try to plow through soft snow. Catch an edge at 80, you're day is done.

Bode is doing a lot better. He is doing well with the switch to Head. I have also been told he has a new coach, one of his buddies from CVA (who actually listend to the CVA coaches). Bode has always been hit or miss. this season just seems to be more hit then miss... hopefully he can keep it up!

From the way he is skiing and what he is saying in his blog I think he did some soul searching and decided to go for it. He even predicted that he would crash at the finish at Wengen. Yet he blew everyone away. It looks like he and Ligety are our only hope for podiums on the mens side. Not keeping track of the womans. Whenthe races are shown in their entirety they are over 2 hours long. A lot to watch. It's funny how the 2 greatest Norweigan skiers ever retired and another stepped up and is first. No more stranglehold by the Austrians.
