He did it!
Had to watch it online in Italian while stupid NBC/ESPN showed snowboard-cross qualifying rounds.
Now most of America will have to see a few DH runs, most skiers edited out, between figure skating...

Sorry about that - Spoiler and all - totally my bad - but the real problem is NBC's choices for coverage in the USA when Europe has it all live. Send them hate mail. Who doesn't check the Internet for results before tuning in at night?

spoil, spoil, spoil....Bode kinda past tense anyway.

Past tense? He just won an Olympic medal on an abbreviated training year and is the best American skier ever, is all.
Missed gold by a whole 9/100ths of a second.
That bronze will look nice next to the silvers and glass globes on the shelf.

Maybe past tense is too strong, he did win a medal .Finally I'm glad he did. I'm just still upset by all the chances he screwed up. there always seemed to be an issue with him, seemed a bit spoiled if i may use that word again. As far as the coverage, i work for NBC and have been just nuts the last 2 weeks and will be for another week. I'm not sure of the line up since I'm an editor not programmer but I'm sure their putting that in prime time. all,i've done for three weeks is build billboards for all the advertising. they put the big events in prime time and the big buck advertising.

I was always a Bill Johnson fan...when he said he would smoke the austrians including Franz Klammer and did.. that was just ballsy off the wall and he made it stick! i just remember the Austrians being so pissed about that statement. they choked.

when will this be televised tonight?

If NBC plays games like they did with the 2008 summer olympics they will tease you and end up putting Bode on at 10:30 PM ET, in order to make you watch a full nights of coverage and put the good stuff on late!

Bode ran 8th today! I bet they will only show about 10 of the runs anyway, and re-order them to make it more suspenseful...

The runs all went off quickly. Maybe 15 seconds between a finish and the next starter. Only a couple crashes, and nothing spectacular.

No way NBC can fit advertising or guys in suits talking between that if they aired it in real time.

your right they won't air it in real time..it will get broken up... how many runs who knows, it all depends on time allotment. tonight is pairs figure skating free program, speed skating, mens snowboard cross and men's downhill. i tried to find out exactly when the downhill happens but the guy i know is in Vancouver and i don't have his cell... sorry. all this will be in primetime.

I don't know about anyone else, but I don't care about the spoiler in this case. I was dying to know how he does. No way I could have waited until tonight.
