Date(s) Skied:

Skied 03/05 and 03/06

Resort or Ski Area:

Bretton Woods

Conditions:

Excellent - just as you expect at BW, lots of great snow, perfectly groomed all over the mountain. Tiny tiny bit of ice on "Two Miles Home"

Trip Report:

If you're looking for really challenging or taxing runs then Bretton Woods probably isn't the place to go. But for a not so good intermediate skier like me it's perfect.

Lift lines were max 5-10 minutes even at peak time on Saturday and Sunday. We headed out over to the right of the mountain to ski Oscar Baron's, Jacob's ladder and Waumbeck - much quieter over there, no lift lines. Snow was fantastic - they've had over 2 foot in the last 2 weeks.

"No regrets" was nice - seemed groomed but with a few bumpy bits of soft snow on top - really quiet not sure where everyone else was?!

One of our favorite runs was Upper Swoop to Deception Bowl (great conditions, nice run with a sneaky curve round to the left)then end of Two Miles Home back to the lift.

Tried out the newish lift over to the left to get to "Bode's run" - a little steeper than most of Bretton Woods.

Let me know if you want specific details - great weekend!

Used to ski BW a lot, but us locals got priced out. :( Deception Bowl is an old favorite as is Upper Swoop. Agree...there is not much for a challenge here but the scenery makes up for it. The glades are kind of a joke...
