Resort Bretton Woods

Date Skied April 30th

Conditions Wet soft snow

Temps 60's

We stated off a bit late. Did not arrive until 9.15. I parked right behind Terry. If its late season and there is snow... I'll find Terry. The family sluggishly headed out. My daughter was trying to do some filming for a Girl scout badge. Kind of a funny event. The snow was soft, Terry and I thought it was better than last weekend. Still just the Biggenben Bretton woods run, but in fine shape. I made alot of runs and just cruised. My family quit early. Terry and I did one more run 3 times and headed out after a quick BBQ. I drained my battery dead. Terry came to the rescue. Thankx big Time.

Betton woods had Bode fest this weekend so not many were on the hill cause day 2 was a golf event. I did find more people on the hill than least weekend though
. I did see one dirt spot forming, but snow help up great. The stock piling of snow on the sides was effective. I asked a few of the employees about how long they would stay open.... They said they would do their best to make it to next weekend, but did not look good. I hope the new ownership takes the same pride these folks have.

Who knows Sunday might have been it. Can't complain went out on a beautiful day , 71st day. This day was just about being there and saying good by to my addiction.

Apparently, Bretton Woods is going to make the play to beat out K-Mart which closes today, May 1st. Here is the latest from the Bretton Woods snow conditions page, updated for May 1st last night:

YES - WE ARE STILL OPEN!! These cool nights and warm sunny days have made for some truly fantastic skiing! We are still planning on skiing for another week or so, so come on up make some of those final turns of the year!
Go Bretton Woods!

I just went back to edit my post after reading the snow report. Riv... you beat me to it.. If they are open I'll be there next weekend. Loafer 89 how bout coming here? Terry same time same channel. TB lets go.

ow as a side note. They were making snow on Sat am again. Looks like just at the base to make it to the lift, but making snow just the same.

Terry and I thought it looked like they may have made it elsewhere. 1st few runs had the pp feel. Not making this up. Could have just be the snow from the park being move into the trail.

Bobs right- it was awesome. I was there for first tracks and it was great. Had a great day with Bob. The lift lagers were good. Enjoyed hanging and skiing on such a nice day. Don't know about this weekend though. Sat am commited to another event, sunday? We'll have to see. Another day to add to my total would be nice, but 77 ain't bad either.
