Not a lot to say here. Definitely a lot more snow than Cranmore the day before, but it was Loose FGR atop pretty firm groomer hardpack. Gets scraped off early. The big beni from he natural snow is that they have a lot more skiable acreage than a lot of areas.
It was OK but it was clear it would get scraped off quickly. I came to watch the EICSL race anyways.
The light was really flat. It was difficult to get a good picture of the snow consistency.
I hate fishbowls. I don't care what I look like, but I hate giving away good trails. Little Tuckerman's is a nice short steep chute under the lift. Nobody was skiing it. I took two runs down and it was great. It had nice pow on it, edgeable base, a fast surface and not death cookies or cord. After two runs, every wannabe on chairs that saw me go down it had to do it. And they did it. Badly. One boarder skidded down the entire thing, not a single turn. Lots of 2-plankers did the same skidding thing. Many of them didn't take a single turn. Arrrrgh! I cried in agony from the chair each time as it killed the conditions. I moved on.
I ventured into some of the on-map blue glades. I shoulda brought my rock skis.
They skied ok, had some LGR and PWDR enough to edge with, but the bumps were solid.
The views were nice anyways.
