Date Skied: January 24
Resort or Ski Area: Burke Mountain
Conditions: PP
Trip Report: Brrr. Temps hovered around 0 deg F. throughout the day. If winds hadn't been light it would have been unbearable. Snow was terrific and traffic was light. Natural snow trails were scratchy, but the manmade coverage was excellent. The summit trees were encased in white; a very pretty sight. There was plenty of cordouroy to be found even in the afternoon. This was my first visit to Burke, and I'd heard crowds are rare. It's true! There were 4 or 5 empty chairs between every occupied one. Burke reminds me of the mountains I first skied 30 or 40 years ago. I'll be back.

I can honestly say I've never heard anything bad about Burke. I wish it was closer. Thanks for the report!
