Date(s) Skied: Tuesday 2/1/11
Resort or Ski Area: Burke, VT
Conditions: PP, Shallow PDR, Snowing with 1-3" new, around 10 degrees
Trip Report:
Went up after class and got in 6 runs before closing. Hit Birches, Jungle, Fox's, Dixiland, Doug's Woods to Marshland, and Warren's Woods to Little Chief. I think I had first tracks on every natural run I took and usually skied fresh snow on top of corduroy on the groomers... at 2:30 PM. Gotta love Burke. Anyway... on map woods were interesting with the smaller hazards hidden under the new snow and easy to hit. "Off map" stuff seemed like it was untouched and bottomless, even though they really are on map. Fox's needs to be skied in a bit so I'm not hitting every rock there is to offer.
I'll hopefully be back up tomorrow morning if classes get cancelled, if they don't I may swing by tomorrow afternoon and definitely Thursday.
