planning on putting the kids in ski school sat/sun and all skiing together on monday....most likely to stay at burke and get the feel of it......

Well, out of Jay, Cannon, and BW, Burke is by far the least crowded. The most crowded day will likely be Saturday and if you ski single it means maybe a 1 minute wait? In a group, maybe 3 minutes?

Be careful, Burke can be contagious. My daughter was 8 when we discovered Burke 14 years ago. I use to put her into group lessons and more than half of the time it turned out to be a private lesson (not on holiday weekends though). Burke is really a laid, back, family friendly, kid safe area. I would suggest you find a Condo on the mountain, (there are plenty of reasonable priced options). Your 8 year old is going to meet new friends in ski school and lots of times after skiing the kids will get together for sledding and hot chocolate with their new friends.

Hi guys Newbie here. I'm thinking about bringing the kids up to Burke for the prez week. We're from Long Island and are willing to do the extra milage for the trade off of no lift lines.
Can anybody suggest a very close slope side condo. My wife doesn't ski but likes to be close to the action and keep an eye on the kids. Also how are the access roads, we have a toyota mini van with front wheel drive.
Thanks
