Cannon 2/7 Powder Day

Resort or Ski Area: Cannon Mountain

Conditions: Nearly a foot of new snow- most of it fluffy powder, a little stiffer snow lurking beneath the surface to give you a good workout-mostly on the bottom of the mountain

Thanks Chris, we're just deciding on where to go Friday. I've never done woods at Cannon. Where's the pic, where a good place? If you're there, look me up.

We're thinking of Cannon because it's close and we're really burnt from work. would love to go an another hour to mrv, but not in the cards, maybe next storm, mon.tues.

I messed around in the glades by the Zoomer lift: Lakeview, Echo Woods and Banshee Glades. They're not huge but the snow is nice. Not sure if Kinsman Glade was open as I have never skied it and must have blown by the entrance. Gotta work tomorrow. Paulie's Folly and Zoomer are a workout. Have fun.

Just for the record, my friend wussed out (out of shape for climbing, blah , blah , blah).

I was up for it but think it's good to go with at least on other person when going out of patrolled areas. I did take some pics & vids and spliced them into this:
