Not a chairlift conversation: but I overheard the guy in front of me on the flight home for Utah complaining how it really pisses him off that all the skiers carry their boots onto the plane. I didn't say anything, but I was less than gentle with the tray table ...

Not quite chairlifts, but the conversations you hear in the waiting area at the gates are pretty interesting, too. Was almost impossible to ignore one woman from a fairly well-to-do community droning on and on about her first-world problems.
