Anyone been lately? Skiing Sun - Wed next week and the weather looks good around Sugarbush so I'm definitely going there but I might want to check out the other areas. Monday night weather looks not so good for the River / Loaf region.

I was wondering this as well. I'm heading up there next weekend. The trail count was over 60 a few days ago and now it's back down to the low 30's.

The mountains got a severe wind buff everywhere up north. You'll also notice that MRG went from fully open to 17 trails. Jay Peak's report sometime earlier this week literally suggested staying home and that conditions were icy. The base is still there so they just need a little refresh. I think with last night's snow and a little more on Saturday, areas that were negatively effected "might" bounce back a bit for this weekend. Next week is going to be warm though... who knows how things will be next week. You won't know until you go.

word on the hill from my family (who works there) is that the groomers are a tad slick, but nice. Last nights fresh snow and the forecasted snow; should be getting better.

Woods are good, although a little thin in places. (again, the fresh show will help tons!)

Thanks for the info, guys. I was curious about the drop. It'll be my first visit to Smuggs so I'm really looking forward to it.

If you want to hit Sugarbush I suggest doing it Sunday

Should be some good fresh on top of the hardpack/powder by then.

If it rains on Monday that sucks but at least it will firm up what we've got so far as a solid base.

Sharpen your edges :)
